THE PEACE PLAN

HOW WE CARRY OUT JESUS' GREAT COMMISSION

The PE.A.C.E. Plan

We want to see God move in our community

At The Bridge Church, Reno, we believe Jesus calls His Church to be agents of peace, restoration, and hope in a broken world. The P.E.A.C.E. Plan is how we intentionally live out Jesus’ Great Commission—both locally and globally—by meeting real needs, sharing the love of Christ, and pointing people toward lasting transformation found in Him.

The word P.E.A.C.E. represents five biblical purposes that shape our outreach, partnerships, and generosity:

P – Plant Churches

Jesus commands His followers to take the gospel to every nation (Matthew 28:19–20). Planting and supporting healthy, life-giving churches ensures that people everywhere have access to the message of Jesus and a local faith community where they can grow. As the early church multiplied, “the word of God spread” (Acts 6:7), and we continue that mission today.

E – Equip Servant Leaders

Jesus modeled servant leadership and calls us to do the same (Mark 10:45). Scripture reminds us that leaders are to “equip the saints for the work of ministry” (Ephesians 4:12). Through training, mentorship, and partnerships, we invest in leaders who serve with humility, integrity, and Christ-like compassion.

A – Assist the Poor

God’s heart beats strongly for those experiencing poverty and hardship. Proverbs 19:17 says, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord.” We believe meeting physical needs opens doors to spiritual hope, reflecting Jesus’ care for the hungry, the hurting, and the overlooked (Matthew 25:35–40).

C – Care for the Sick

Jesus consistently healed the sick and cared for the suffering (Matthew 14:14). We follow His example by supporting ministries and partnerships that bring comfort, healing, counseling, and restoration to those experiencing physical, emotional, and mental pain. Galatians 6:2 calls us to “carry each other’s burdens.”

E – Educate the Next Generation

Passing faith, wisdom, and opportunity to the next generation is essential to God’s design (Psalm 78:4). We are committed to helping children and students grow spiritually, emotionally, and practically so they can flourish and step confidently into God’s purposes for their lives (Proverbs 22:6).

FARMily & Katie’s Community Garden

A unique expression of our P.E.A.C.E. Plan is Katie’s Community Garden, a partnership between The Bridge Church, FARMily, The Katie Grace Foundation, and The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows. Located directly behind The Bridge Church Reno campus, the garden is a shared community space dedicated to: Growing fresh food for those in need Teaching children and adults about agriculture and sustainability Hosting community events that bring people together

The Bridge Church has "donated" the land so that this vision could become a reality—a living example of stewardship,

generosity, and community collaboration. Volunteers and partners work together to cultivate not only food, but relationships and hope. (Information about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and the latest garden updates can be found through FARMily and our campus resources.)

Through the P.E.A.C.E. Plan, we believe the Church becomes what Jesus intended it to be—a visible expression of His peace, compassion, and transforming power in the world (Matthew 5:9; John 20:21).
